Tania de Jong AM is the Founder of acclaimed opera/music theatre group Pot-Pourri, social enterprise Creativity AustraliaCreative Universe transformational leadership and innovation capability programs, The Song Room arts education charity, Creative Innovation Global and entertainment and event production company MTA Entertainment & Events. 

A graduate of the University of Melbourne (Bachelor of Law, Honours) and the Victorian College of the Arts (Opera/Voice), Tania is considered one of Australia’s most talented sopranos. She has performed in over 40 countries and released 7 CDs.

In 2006 Tania was named Ernst and Young Australian Social Entrepreneur of the Year as Founder of The Song Room. The Song Room has provided access to creative learning for over 350,000 disadvantaged Australian children. Tania’s other awards include the “Outstanding Individual Contribution to Australian Culture” and Churchill Fellowship and the Accessibility Award in The Melbourne Awards. She was inducted into the AGSE Entrepreneurs Hall of Fame at Swinburne University. She was named Brainlink Woman of Achievement in 2009.

She was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in June 2008 for service to the Arts as a performer and entrepreneur and through the establishment and development of music and arts enrichment programs for schools and communities.  

She is Founder and Chair of Creativity Australia which works with a range of marginalised individuals (including migrants, people with depression and disabilities and job seekers) and communities to build transformational networks through the acclaimed “With One Voice” choir social inclusion programs. Her recent TEDtalk ‘How singing together changes the brain’ has been viewed by over 17,000 people so far.

Tania consults to multinational organizations on creative leadership, capability and team building and developing a culture of  innovation.

She presents keynote speeches in Australia and internationally for a diverse range of conferences and events. She is Founder and Executive Producer of Creative Innovation 2010-2015, a global future-shaping innovation forum. Ci2013 was named Corporate Event of the Year in the Global Eventex Awards.

Tania is working on a number of creative projects including a solo CD titled Heaven on Earth with Joe Chindamo, a book on creative leadership and ECHO a new music theatre work with Stefan Cassomenos and John Romeril. She has sung in many languages, including English, Spanish, French, Latin, German, Italian, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Hebrew.

Tania is releasing her first solo recording “Heaven on Earth” in 2015.

She attended college in the USA on a tennis scholarship and is the granddaughter of Slawa Duldig who invented the first foldable umbrella in 1929 in Vienna.
